Finally!!!

We have had the worst spring. It has been cold and rainy it seems forever. This week we finally have had a few nice sunny days in a row and I got a lot of the "farm" work done. Got all three chickens yards cleaned out... dug out the muck from the winter put a light layer of ag lime down and and about 6 inches of fresh sand... Chickens are happy, I am happy and it smells nice and fresh.

Yesterday we finally finished the raised beds and got all of our veggies planted... YAY!!! and now all I have left is to clean two of the coops and move the youngsters from the grow-out pens to the coops. I have moved one set because I got one of the coops cleaned a few weeks ago... now to get the banties and the Leghorns out. The birds only remaining in my garage in grow out pens will be my Royal Palm turkey poults and a few Salmon Favorelle pullets (they teach the poults how to eat and drink.).

Finally, today I set some Easter Egger eggs timed to hatch with my Pencilled Red Palms around June 23... to help the new poults. That will be the end of new chicks and hatching for this season.
